The Justice Dept announces that it is bringing self-proclaimed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed to trial in New York; consumer confidence drops; and scientists say there is water on the moon.  Here are some of the other top stories on the PM programs today:

Marketplace: McDonald’s is looking to build on its successful $1 menu campaign by introducing a $1 breakfast menu.  McDonald’s franchisees are ecstatic.  Burger King franchisees?  Not so much–and they may take their case to court.

The World: The Chinese government is exploring ways to dismantle dams along the Yangtze river, and they are looking to the US for advice.  They have sent a delegation to study efforts here to restore rivers.  Maria Giovannelli reports.
