The Perry Preschool Project is one of the most famous education experiments of the last 50 years. The study considered whether preschool can boost the IQ scores of poor African-American children, with the ultimate goal of keeping them in school.
The documentary series American RadioWorks tells the story of a high school administrator named David Weikart, his experiment to help African-American children, and the surprising results of that long term study.
