Judith Jones on cooking for one
Judith Jones was the editor who looked at the manuscript that everyone else had rejected, and decided to publish Mastering the Art of French Cooking by Julia Child. She also got book deals for Lidia Bastianich, James Beard, and Marion Cunningham.
And, Jones has written a number of books of her own. Her latest cookbook is The Pleasures of Cooking for One. In spite of what you (or I) might think, Jones argues that’s not an oxymoron. But it does involve a different way of thinking about recipes, which are often constructed for two, or four, diners.
