Spooky jobs: down in the mines
Northwest News Network’s Doug Nadvornick is on the lookout for the spookiest jobs… and here’s one of his discoveries: working in a mine is spooky.
You go to work, get in a bucket, get lowered 3,000 feet underground, where it’s dark and cramped.
Yeah, I get the point. Nadvornick talks to foreman John Weinkauf at the Galena Mine in Wallace, Idaho, who says you can generally know within a week whether a new recruit is going to make it or not.
