KQED’s Forum, not known for punk (neither are we, for that matter) assembled a great panel of experts around the new book Gimme Something Better: The Profound, Progressive and Occasionally Pointless History of Bay Area Punk from Dead Kennedys to Green Day.
The co-authors, Jack Boulware and Silke Tudor, are here, along with Pansy Division founding member Jon Ginoli, among others.
This is an absorbing look at the rise of punk in San Francisco, including some of the main characters in the drama. Check it out.
