Charlie Rose and Susie Buffett
Fortune has a long, highly complimentary profile of Charlie Rose, who has been Must See TV in the midst of the financial crisis, or whatever it is we’re calling it these days.
We’ve noted his late-2008 interview with Warren Buffett several times because it’s one of the high points of financial discussion. And so many other Charlie Rose interviews merit that compliment, too.
We must admit that we’ve not featured many Rose interviews here lately because of an apparent problem the show is having posting video to Google – we’re no longer getting embeddable video.
The Fortune article mentions another interview: Charlie Rose’s conversation with Warren Buffett’s wife Susan Buffett in 2004, just a few months before her death. Fortune calls it “one of Rose’s least affected, most nuanced performances; mention it to [Bill] Gates and you can hear him well up a little.”
Even if you have seen it, you should spend a half hour watching it again.
