Charlie Rose, McNamara and Morris
Last week, we zipped through the archives as news came of Robert McNamara’s death, and we found some interesting stuff. But we completely forgot about about the interview Charlie Rose conducted with McNamara and filmmaker Errol Morris, who produced The Fog of War, McNamara’s effort to offer lessons from the Vietnam War.
We watched this interview back in 2003, and were reminded of it when Rose aired his appreciation of McNamara last Friday night.
That show “isn’t working” at the moment – we’re having trouble getting it to feed properly as we write this. Here’s the link. But here’s the 2003 interview for your viewing pleasure.
