What’s next for New York architecture?
WNYC’s Leonard Lopate Brian Lehrer (whoops!) hosted a discussion with two of the most influential voices in architecture: Liz Diller of DS+R and Paul Goldberger, the New Yorker’s architecture critic.
DS+R’s latest celebrated accomplishment is the renovation of Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center.
This conversation is worth your time, even if you’re not a New Yorker because what they’re talking about is how architecture brings life to the city, whether it’s the opening of a piece of 1960’s architecture like Alice Tully Hall to life on the street, or how neighborhood landmarks like the High Line can be a catalyst for community development.
Listen, and check out the accompanying slideshow. This segment is part of WNYC’s Cityscapes series.
