Steven Chu on energy efficiency
In this conversation with Charlie Rose, Energy Secretary Steven Chu outlines the Obama administration’s plans, thus far, to use a portion of the stimulus to make homes and government buildings more energy efficient. He also talks about rebuilding the electrical transmission system to make it work for alternative energy – the smart grid – and “clean coal.”
And, about 13 minutes into the conversation, there’s an interesting exchange about the nature of science, the spirit of inquiry, the overthrowing of dogmas.
