Mediavore Favorites
If we say we found a lot of really cool stuff this week, it’s only a half pat on the back because there was a lot of interesting public media out there waiting to be discovered this week.
Here are a few of our favorites:
- NPR Music/All Songs Considered released the top 25 albums of the 2008, as voted by tens of thousands of NPR listeners. This is a heck of a good list for precisely that reason. More…
- Graham Griffith calls out the Brian Lehrer Show for its coverage of the Bush administration’s “midnight regulations” More…
- Brian Lehrer gets a second mention for a good interview with Paul Krugman. More… (Bonus: he was on On Point three weeks ago, too.)
- The KUOW interview with Michael Kinsley about Creative Capitalism wins “Wonkiest Interview of the Week” award, but we found it totally absorbing. More…
- Graham highlighted WBUR’s new doc on The Vanishing Middle Class. More…
- We did our best to gather all the top book lists on public radio and failed miserably. But the ones we found are bursting with good reading. More…
- We loved the CBC Radio 3 “Worst Album Cover” contest, if for no other reason than the license we felt it gave us to display the “Cock, thy Beaver” album cover on the site. More…
So, go forth and consume this great stuff… and don’t hesitate to recommend things you’ve heard this week in the comments.
